Baker Nevada Inspiration

We were in Baker, Nevada yesterday. It's at the base of a national park called Great Basin National Park. We drove to the top 10,000 feet! On the road up there we discovered that every 20th or so fencepost was decorated with objects trouvee. It's a hilarious slide show, coming to my classroom in July at Cabrillo.

Then a memorial to Too Tall Tony, with these legs sticking out of the ground with their cowboy boots on.
The Electrolux Cafe...with its namesake.
Outdoor art in Baker

We're now blogging from the Main Street Bagel Cafe, whom our friends Mark and Missy started a few years ago..it's wired in here, in more ways than one. Christopher is about to meet us. Fun tonite in Grand Junction. My mind whirls at the thought of doing the Plaza Art Festival Sept 22-24. Eileen is invited as well. Kansas City watch out....save us some BBQ!
