Wood Spirits, detail, Rozome by Betsy Sterling BenjaminWe hosted a dinner lastnite for Betsy Sterling Benjamin. I met Betsy and her world of wax at the Surface Design Association Conference in the spring. I believe it was the MAHvelous Leesa Hubble who introduced us. Betsy is currently teaching two classes at the Coupeville Art Center, which attracts amazing fiber/textile people. Northwest SDA rep Cheryl Kamera joined us for dinner, and promised to give Betsy a tour of her stupendous gardens next year when Betsy returns to teach again.
