We arrived lastnite at our summer paradise. I always forget how beautiful it is here, and how my soul just sings at this place. The slower pace, the wildlife, and the great people. Last night we walked the dog down our street to find scotch broom bursting out all over, and the most heavenly lilacs. They are totally at their peak perfuming the entire street. All shades of lavender to almost majenta, and a one glorious white one. I am inspired to do a whole suite of encaustic landscapes-now there's something totally different! Also I am working on my "spines" in every sculptural form I can think of. How can it possibly get any better than this?
