Arriving in Istanbul

How exciting to meet our jet lagged pals at the Frankfurt Airport for the three hour flight to Istanbul. Our guide, Erol met us and in an instant we knew we were well taken care of, with humor. He gave us time to relax, and then took us on a dusky stroll to the center of town. On our way, "art galleries" of beautiful decaying walls.

Then the beautiful mosques, and the sounds of the call to prayer.
An ice cream vendor suiting up.
We are in the land of pomegranates.
A wonderful dinner with Erol showing us where we are, and what we'll do tomorrow.
