Independence Day in Melbourne

We started the day seeing a moving protest at the Train station. Australia out of Afghanistan. It gave me goosebumps. It was our first day "off" without setting up, teaching or traveling to the next venue. Nice to have a leisurely day and an Artist Date by going into book stores
a great documentary Kim saw on the flight over-also a book
 sneaky person in bookstore
looking at fashion and seeing beautiful shoe stores. We walked into Il Papiro and thought it looked just like a paper store we visited in Cortona, and sure enough the woman said, Yes we have a shop in Cortona! We visited a wonderful children's book store where we checked out some books for Desmond. The great street Flinder's lane has it all,
 reflection of shopper in window
including where we'll have a great brekky tomorrow, before we head out to the Healesville Sanctuary and the Tarra Warra Museum of Art where we'll see the Archibald Prize exhibition.
We were guilty of doing a bit of logistics for the upcoming workshops with our wonder woman, Daina at Chapman and Bailey.
