We arrived in Tampa at the crack of dawn on the 29th, and Kim's bro picked us up at the airport. We spent the day sightseeing around Sarasota, especially the Selby Botanical Gardens.

Today we went to an amazing consignment shop supporting the Arts of Sarasota, called Woman's EXCHANGE. They had it all, jewelry, amazing rugs, furniture and a mid century modern Herman Miller Eames molded plastic chair for a mere $426. A visit to Greene Contemporary on S. Pineapple. Elena De La Ville showing some wonderful encaustics at the Paradigm Art Gallery on Main Street. After lunch at Mattison's we went over to Lido Key and had amazing gelato at Settimi's. We walked around St. Armand's Circle and found fabulous couture featuring Fiber Artists of very high caliber at Dream Weaver Collection. A very inspiring day! Funny how today we saw Elena at the Farmer's Market downtown. I introduced myself to her, and today received an email from her that she'll be attending the Boston Encaustic Conference. It's a small encaustic world after all. We are all family in our wax world.

These photos are so lush and warm. I feel the Florida sunshine emanating from them. Kimmie looks so lovely at the beach with her brother. Your day sounds fantastic.
